Safety, Care, and Use
Fireside Experience, Upgraded
- Get ready for a smokeless burn that lights easily and delivers a fireside experience like no other fire pit on the market.
- A little startup smoke? That is normal and it clears up quickly once your fire gets going.
- Bigger models like the Yukon and Canyon bring serious heat and ambiance.
- Keep extra wood nearby for those long, cozy burns.
- We recommend starting your fire with 2-3 logs for Ranger, 3-4 logs for Bonfire, and 4-5 logs for Yukon / Canyon.
Stainless Steel with Character
- Over time, your fire pit’s stainless steel will develop a golden-blue patina, a natural part of the charm.
- Want to keep it looking sleek? Just wipe it down with a soft brush or stainless-steel cleaner (no water or soap needed).
Burn Safe, Burn Smart
- Always use your fire pit on a stable, non-flammable surface, away from: Overhangs, Patio ceilings (yes, even the tall ones), Any other flammable materials.
- Sparks & Embers: Depending on your environment or the wood you burn, sparks may escape and damage nearby furniture or other flammable surfaces. Add our fire pit Shield to stop embers before they ever burn a hole in your brand new 4 Piece Seating Set.
- Wooden deck? That is a no-go unless you are using our Fire Pit Stand. With the Stand, you can burn safely – even on that beautiful new cedar deck.
Safety First
- Never leave a lit fire unattended.
- Hot Surface Warning: The exterior of your fire pit gets extremely hot during use – keep kids, pets, and anything flammable at a safe distance. For extra peace of mind, use the Surround or Surround Lite to create a protective barrier.
- Always keep a fire extinguisher or water source nearby in case of emergency.
Easy Cleanup, Ready for Round Two
- Let your fire pit cool completely.
- Remove the base plate to access the ash pan.
- Dump the ashes, then pop everything back in place.
- Boom – ready for your next burn.
Does wood still need to be put in the fire pit?
When using the charcoal adapter, you only need to use charcoal to cook. If you want to burn a wood fire while the Cookout Kit is in the lower position, remove the charcoal adapter.
Can I use wood and charcoal at the same time?
Yes. But it is not recommended as the charcoal adapter sits halfway between the bottom of the Bonfire and the opening. Lighting both wood and charcoal would be unnecessary for cooking.
Will it be compatible with the other size fire pits in the future?
At this time, it is only available for Bonfire, however, we are always open to feedback from our amazing Solo Stove community. If the demand is there, we would consider making the Cookout Kit available for additional fire pit sizes.
What accessories is it compatible with? Can my Bonfire be in Surround Lite while in the stand?
It is compatible with a wide range of accessories, but not the Surround or Surround Lite. It works with accessories that rest on top of the fire pit such as the Shield, Lid, and Pi Fire.
Do the flaps of the foldable stand get hot?
The shelves of the stand are spaced away from the fire pit, so they may get warm from the radiant heat, and should only be warm to the touch (weather conditions and proper fire maintenance assumed)
